Features

Properties
• Add, list, update and delete properties.
• Each property can have multiple photos.
• Properties are categorized by type.
• Each property is assigned to a specific sales representative.
• Property price can be added in any currency.
• Properties posted can be viewed as "shown", "hidden", "pending" or "not available".
• All the properties can become the featured the 'property of the week'. The property can be displayed randomly on a page/section of your choice.
• The properties can be viewed as for rent or for sale.
• Price conversion for property listing -- you can view the property price in any of the main exchange rates.
• Email feature that allows you to contact the respective agent directly for a property.
• A Send Page to Friend feature is available. This will allow you to show a friend any property listing that you like via email.
• Thumbnails for property images are automatically created which allows faster loading of the listing pages.
• The images contain links to larger images and their respective slideshows.
• Users visiting the site can search for properties by:
  • Property type and/or parish
  • An advanced search feature which includes property type, price, parish, no of bedrooms, no. of bathrooms, no. of buildings.
  • Properties for rent or sale.
  • Display properties that contain text entered by the user matching the title or the description of the property.
  • Jumping to a property listing if the property ID is known.
• The last twenty new listings are displayed.

Property Types
• The type of property can be configured (e. g. a property can have a number of bathrooms, bedrooms etc while another type might have just the floor area).
• You can, of course, view, edit and delete these property types as you wish.

Exchange Rates
• You can add, update, view and delete currency exchange rates that displays the price of the properties listed.
• Please note that the exchange rates are relative to the Jamaican Dollars (JMD).

Property Count
• This feature displays the number of properties existing in the database or for a particular user (see "User Management" below)

Statistics
• This feature displays in details the usage of the real estate site. It displays the number of times a property has been clicked, the number of times the property has been viewed (listed), the number of times an agent for a particular property has been contacted and much more...
• A ratio of the number of clicks to the number of views of the properties is also displayed.

User Management
• This real estate program comes with a full user management system where a user can be a sales representative or an administrator.
• Sales reps can add, edit, view and delete their own properties.
• Sales reps can only view the statistics and property count of their properties.
• An administrator is entitled to all these features in addition to adding/listing/updating and deleting other users (including sales reps) and/or administrators.

Audit Trail
• Any changes made to the database or the settings in the administration pages are logged. There is one log file for each day.
• An administrator can analyse and search the logs by date or user.

Configuration
• Most of the parameters described above can be changed in the configuration file. Things that can be changed are:
  • The number of properties that are displayed on a page.
  • Page to be displayed in case an error occurs.
  • Number of characters that are displayed for the description of the property listing.
  • When a property is added to the database, it is automatically resized to a predetermined size. You can specify the width of this image.

Customizable Templated Themes
• An administrator can select a theme for a page and this theme is applied to the entire web site on the fly.
