While we at Go-Jamaica strive to accomodate our advertisers' needs, there are some restrictions we have implemented to maintain the overall layout and effectiveness of our pages, and the reach of your advertising dollar. We suggest you familiarize yourself with the following guidelines for online advertising on our family of web sites.

• Ads are currently accepted in the following formats:
  gif
  jpeg/jpg
  swf [Shockwave files, commonly referred to as Flash movies]
• The Jamaica Gleaner web site [http://jamaica-gleaner.com] do not carry Flash ads or animated gif files on any of its pages.
• Due to the limited space offered by Column Ads (120x60 pixels), we recommend that the text to be placed in the ad not exceed 6 — 10 words.
• Flash ads must have the URL (address) of your site embedded into the file itself. Additionally, the corresponding page should open in a new, blank page. We are unable to edit these files, or add URLs, and thus will be unable to publish these ads with the above information omitted.
• Flash ads with sound are not encouraged, as they unnecessarily add to the file size of your ad, and detract from the overall user experience.

Please see the table below for the allowed dimensions and file sizes for the ads we publish on our sites.

We will be discontinuing 250 x 60 ads. These will be replaced by 234 x 60.
